I'm not desperately impressed with him.

Yes, he looks like a reasonable sprinter. But, in my opinion, his behaviour at the TdF showed him to be a bit of a spoiled brat, not a good ambassador for our sport.

Aw, cut him some slack Grahame. He's just a kid and it must have been sooo frustrating for him to have all those mishaps in the tour. From what I recall he had composed himself by the end of the race and was pretty professional when it came to post-race interviews. I think his stroppiness during the race was understandable.

whilst i think he's an arrogant t**t, i sure as hell would be if i were him!

also agree with tamar, no matter what race it was the tour didn't exactly go his way. and i would find it hard to wax lyrical to the cameras after. brad wiggins was no better a couple of years ago. after a few more lessons of millar he'll be there...

Bloody Hell! have i missed something. Every interview i've seen him in he's been fairly honest and frank. Was is it with us Brits we seem to deem confident athletes as arrogant. Why? Perhaps Phil S will let us know the truth coz he covered the Tour for the BBC.

I know a couple of 2nd and a 3rd cat that have been in seperate breakaways with Tony Gibb (PCA) and he's blantantly told them to fcuk off. Now there's a British domestic Pro who definitely appears to be up his own arse :?

Yes and he (tony gibb) also comes across vey gentlemanly for the cameras and press no?

When i say 'Cav' is arrogant, i mean when he openly criticised the T-Mobile decision not to commit to lead him out everyday. I mean come on, your 21, first tour, first season. He has much to learn, just look at McEwen aka I wanna ride the vuelta, now im gonna throw my toys out the pram. What the team says goes. I got the impression he just expected to be allowed through to a good spot in the sprint by the other riders too. Well, no, it just don't work like that.

But at the same time, i have masses of respect for the talent he has. I just think he has a long way to go before he can honestly say 'if im on the front with 200 to go, no one can beat me'.

But hey, so do I!!!
