assuming that the clip is the classic track tandem sprint (unfortunately the Gestapo at work block youtube) then the event is still run.
Each year there is a national tandem sprint champs (not sure that it is officially sanctioned) but I suspect Hoy & Staff are too sane to try

Thanks Marco - what was wrong with that - they had a holiday and I got to race...
BTW The track used to be concrete, then later laid with wood. It doesn't look like it, but it was incredibly steep banking. It was sold off for housing some 10 years ago.
