I hope you've got a pointy helmet to go with that bike.

I should be picking up the helmet soon,

I'm gonna get my neck set in the most Aero position Physio Mike at Metis can offer :D

I will remove the handlebar spacers but I need to work down to that low position over time.

what do you mean 12h Sylv Last night I was having a beer and a chat with Eddie Munday and he's held the record for 24h TT in the past.
It's not too bad as it sounds he say's, you just got to build up to it by starting with some 10's then 25's then 50's then 100's then a couple of 12h's and after that you should be ready for the 24hTT :o

Oh sure 24h is fine too, it's just I've never heard anyone here mentioning them, didn't know they existed still (on the road).

Very nice George, look forward to seeing you at some TT's next year. It will be very interesting to see your times

There is only one 24 hour TT now. That is the Mersey Roads 24. It was won with 501 miles this year. The record is 525 miles by Andy Wilkinson.

Yes folks that works out to an average speed of over 20mph for 24hrs.

I love the way Eddie makes the step up from doing a 10 to a 24hr sound like it's a walk in the park.

[quote]the route he took was 220yd sprint to 24 hour TT with a bit of football thrown in during the winter! And he told me they stopped riding at the Cartofrd Hillclimb and winter was for cavorting and courting and then they started riding again with a club trip to Somerset for the easter weekend. Then the training started!

ah....the good old days.
I remember them.
