Never mind the fighters - staying awake to watch it takes real skill. Especially when you get to our age :?

To answer your question, though, I heard Barry McGuigan on Radio 4 this morning saying that Mayweather should edge it, because he can fight from the front or back foot. That should give your mates something to chew on - while you nip off for a bit of shut-eye

why are there no drugs busts in boxing (or perhaps there are, it's just I haven't heard about them)
Surely boxers would benefit hugely from EPO and the like?

"Floyd will realise he has a little bit more power than Ricky and will be looking for power shots when Ricky is throwing four or five shots. As the rounds go on, that will be a big factor. Also, he's got bad mitts."

Or something :?

Used to love boxing but drifted away when it became too much like a pantomime. Too many decisions decided in advance by promoters and iffy judges.

The best time for me was the Roberto Duran/Sugar Ray Leonard period and during the middleweight/super middleweight Benn/Eubank/Collins era with some amazing fights. Sadly two of the best fights ended tragically. For me it started to get iffy towards the end of this period when Eubank picked up a number of dodgy "victories" on strange judges scores.

I like Hatton and hope he wins, but the doubt is that he can waste energy with number of punches thrown as opposed to picking out big hits. He's a durable bugger though so fingers crossed.
