The beer monster waits until you are asleep and then jumps out from under your bed and jumps up and down on your legs loads of times. That can be the only explanation.
Do you also find yourself waking up next to women that you thought were fantastic the night before and then in the morning look like they would be a good training partner from East Germany, if so, this person could also be jumping up and down on your legs in an attempt to ruin your training.
If you think that neither or these are likely maybe it is dehydration or as Colin says, too much standing up. It may sound silly, but if you are in the pub or club for a long period of time standing up etc it can tire out your legs.
I went to Berlin last week and I was clubbing for a couple of nights and my legs felt awful at the weekend. Too much standing up and jigging around, unless it is the beer monster or helga.
