Yes, thats better, last year was a bit rubbish in my opinion.

Classy surroundings, nice food, very creative bar prices- but that is always to be expected.
However as the evening wore on this seemed to matter less and less.

Quiz idea was excellent- we won!

Another plus was our table choice- first up for the food. (our table had ACCs draught busters - so its only fair to let us bulk up a bit more)

The hard core carried on in another bar afterwards, I retired just after 2am, it looked like Marco was only just warming up!

A certain forum regular was also having a spot of bother with a glass which seemed to have a round bottom as it was rocking around the table a lot.

Down at the pre-arranged time of 9.30 for brekkie I saw a few familiar faces, however a certain pirate was a little late on deck- not having finished till 4ish in the bar was his excuse!

A really good night out.

Yarrrrrr - excellent stuff!

Everyone really got into the spirit of things last night there was a great buzz about the place and I certainly had a whale of a time (insert Moby Dick joke here). Mrs Snoop had a really good time too - I think it's great that we appealed to non cyclists so well last night. I love being a member of ACC and last night made me feel very proud - it was great fun.

The whole package clicked. I agree the bar prices were a bit steep but that seems to be the way with hotels. Food was good although p'raps a tad less mustard on the salmon (slightly odd combo methinks).

Someone must've spiked me grog tho as I appear to have a more than slightly woolly head today. Still - I've some interval training waiting for me later - that'll sort me out.

Well done y'all for making it such a good 'un.

Snoop

PS - did anyone pick up a set pf press cuttings? I brought them along and forgot to collect them @ the end - I hope someone rescued them :(

Fantastic evening a top venue, we definitely have to go there next year.

I thought the food was delicious, I really liked the Salmon and strong mustard starter. Next time will have to make sure were not on the last table to visit the buffet though, even still there was plenty for everyone :D
Dropped Tamar and Keith home afterwards and we were talking about the evening and speech, then I said "Thought the speech was short and sweet and didn't go on too long like last year!" then I realized Keith was the after dinner speaker

Well done everyone for helping to make a great evening for the Agreeables, very proud to be in the club.

Very enjoyable - the best I've been to so far.

Highlight of the evening (well one of them) was Jon Avery wandering around reception at about 1am saying 'I've lost the bar'
As Alex commented, surely someone like Jon would have a built in bar finder :!:

Highs...
Some very elegant suits and dresses
Good food
Good running order of events/presentations etc

Lows
Cost of drinks - too expensive

Great night out - thanx to all those involved for organising a great spread.

By heck, some people scrub up very well. I'm so used to seeing Mr Seaton covered in mud these days I didn't realise who he was - despite him being sat just 2 places away from me !

And thanks for arranging me some of that bling silver handle bar tape in the raffle !

Look forward to next year's bash !
