Back from Hosipital

Reasonably good news. Been to the Fracture clinic and the doctor told me that there is a 90% chance of the collar bone heeling by it's self, without an operation required. :D I'm off work for 2 weeks :D and light duties when I return to work for 4 weeks. The downside to this is that I have to take public transport to work. He told me to give it a week before I start using my turbo trainer.

So thanks for the words of concern and well wishes from all you other agreeables. I look forward to seeing you all Thursday night for a pint or two down the Standard.

Deends on the type of break. When the bone rubbed against the raw bone it was quite excruciatingly painful  and the last thing I wanted to do was ride a turbo, but mine was 3 weeks before a '12' so after a week I tried it and was OK if I just turned over the pedals and had to keep myself entertained - no daytime TV in those days

Never did ride a 12 that year. In fact the associated knee injury (somersault and cracking it on the sharp angle on the edge of a kerbstone) continued to give me pain on and off for the next 10 years

Good luck Jon.
