Hi all, just looking for a bit of advice.
Taking my bike to Spain next week and wanted to know whether I should deflate the tyres, or will they be ok if left at fUll pressure?
Rest of the bike will be well wrapped, but what should I put on the chain ring to protect it - this will be the main bit touching the bottom of the bag.

Some airlines want them deflated. Bubble wrap for the chainrings.

Chainrings - I use some pipe lagging. If you cut a couple of Vs out of it to aid bending you can wrap it around the chainset. I then hold it in place with a couple of cable ties, remember to take some spares for coming home.

Tyres - As Sean says I think it's a red herring. I let some air out so that they aren't at full pressure, about 2/3rds, as a bit of a play safe but also allows protection of the rims.
