Saturday 20th September is the last Addiscombe time trial promotion of the year, and help from club members is required to make sure it's a success. A minimum of 10 people are required for pushing-off, marshalling, assisting the timekeepers, running the canteen etc. So far 8 people (and one maybe) have volunteered their help. It would be preferable to have more than the minimum 10, as more people out on the course means more visibility for the event, easier jobs for the helpers and a safer event for those competing. Unlike most time trials this one is an afternoon event (2pm start) so there's no need to get up at the crack of dawn. The course is the usual Holmwood course that we use for the evening 10's and Presidents 10.
Also, if there are any budding Jamie Olivers or Nigella Lawsons in the club, get your chefs hats on and bake a cake, as time triallists are a hungry bunch and need to stock up on calories after the race.
Entries have started arriving, but only one Agreeable entry so far. We have more than enough people in the club to help out and have a reasonable number competing, so get your entries sent in. If you've never entered an open time trial before and don't know how to enter, get in touch and I will advise on how to go about it.
