I enjoyed the club run today to. Set of with a huge 19's group that stayed together really well considering. Started to thin out slightly as we got shifting esp with the tail wind blowing us along. I brought a young lad called Jack with me today, I told him to go with the 17's but he got his wires crossed and ended up in the 19's. Didn't seem to bother him though and for a young lad, just turned 15, he's showing a lot of potential.

Nice stop in the cafe, sat outside having a good natter...to good infact as we didn't realise everyone had upped to leave and were outside all saddled up and waitng for the off.

Back via BH again. Stu and co shot off so I held back and deceided on an easy run there...that lasted long as I found myself on the front of a smallish group just towing everyone along, battling the wind and giving everyone behind me a little shelter. Felt good today though so put in an extra effort to keep the pace up. Climbed ok...well ok for me. Nice stop at the top, had a good chat to Stu and Michelle before we all set off again with a gentle pace being set before it went mad again. Stu set off again like his arse was on fire, I just towed everyone along again, had a bit of a break now and again but soon found myself back on the front.

An enjoyable ride today, its great when your feeling strong and having fun. :D

No probs Jez to tow you up the hill. Stu came stonking up Box Hill behind us and gave encouragement. You should be proud to know that he said he couldn't catch us like he can the usual Saturday cyclists. Is that a compliment?....

Just better not take that short cut route again on the national limit round south of Dorking  . Not too bike friendly ooops!

It was a good run today, my first foray into the 19/20's, bit pooped towards the end which is how it should be on your first venture into a faster group. Still had enough in me for 4th place in the sprint, even though no one else was contesting it and I was just competing with myself  .

I'm sure Ant should have been annoyed really, because the average was 21mph and we know what a stickler he is for keeping the pace right :D . Still you can't help it in a good tail wind.

Bit of a b*stard ride home on my own from Box Hill, going East into an Easterly. Took it easy as the back was playing up and made in home about 2.00. Did sweet FA all afternoon then went out in Reigate last night eating fantastic food and drinking great wine. Which is why I am working like a dog now, and with a sore head.

Do you mind, :? for express, read steady ride :D We only averaged 17.5mph, and slipped in an extra stop on the way home for some sustenance (and a sneaky look at what will hopefully be our new home) at the Cafe in the park at Horsham.

Mark clocked up 100 miles at Holley on the way home and let out a huge roar, then realised he had to climb back up to Kenley

Sylv AKA the robot was Mr Cool and even did Ditchling twice for the fun of it!!

Great ride, great company, some really nice quiet lanes and lunch siting by the beach draped in sunshine - glorious.
