So, last time Wiggins got an OBE for a gold, silver & bronze.

Steve Redgrave got 5 golds in 5 games and became a Sir.

Kelly Holmes got 2 golds in 1 games and became a Dame.

So, Hoy & Wiggins have both now got 2 golds in 1 games so we can expect them to be Sir Hoy & Sir Wiggins.

What happens if they get 3, Lord Hoy & Lord Wiggins?

Sports personality of the year will actually be a worthwhile contest for a change. No boxing/rugby/footer/cricket stars to shout about

Hamilton (especially if wins F1 title)
Harrington back to back majors
Olympic cyclists, swimmers, rowers (and that fella who managed not fall off the pommel horse)
Phillips Idou for probably the only athletics gold?
Cavendish for TdeF stages

I'd say Harrington, but is he eligible, coming from the Old Sod?

Team should certainly be the 4km pursuit chaps.
Individual I think Hoy (if he gets 3 Golds) is a good bet, same with Wiggins which would mean Cav would have one to go with his TdF and Giro stages. I somehow doubt the rigfest that is the SPOTY would allow the 2 main prizes to be won by lowly cyclists though. Hamilton, if he wins the F1 title, would probably be favourite for that.
