Snoop,
I have engaged Mrs T to cover signing-on. No-one competes WITHOUT signing on, and wearing a number provided. If not a BC member, ACC will cover the cost of a day licence. There is NO entry fee.
Some refreshments???? Any volunteers
I have employed the services of a very expensive Chief Commissaire - Guru P !!!!!! - so watch out, you may all find yourselves disqualified
We will need a lead car (and a commissaire's bike!!), 6 marshals (minimum) a lap board person and a judge or 2 at the finish.
Race detailThe circuit that we will be using is the Newchapel race circuit which is an approved BC circuit. However, it is a normal road, the roads are not closed to other road users so apply commonsense to any road "hazards". Normal road racing conditions apply. No crossing white lines unless you can see for a substantial distance ahead that it is clear etc
The first race will be 4th cats and novices and will include everyone the Chief Commissaire thinks should be there (no Grahame - don't even try it) and any appeals will be considered very unfairly unless folding stuff changes hands
It will be approximately 140km - just kidding - 5 laps, approx 30km, starting at 10:00am.
The next race will commence as soon as the first has finished, and is scheduled for 11:00am and will be 8 laps, finishing at approximately 12:00 and will be for everyone who is not in the first race. The winner will be presented with a huge shiny silver trophy with your name engraved upon it at a presentation coming soon to a hotel near you - Selsdon Park Hotel, Saturday 17 January 2009, along with untold riches purloined by a certain Welshman masquerading as a journalist.
For those that are peckish afterwards, the Golf Club positioned by the finish has a wide range of good food available.
