Lewis Hamilton put-down

Postby huw williams » Sun Oct 19, 2008 3:03 pm

Had the Grand Prix on earlier then went out on the bike for an hour. Coming back through merstham this boy racer type comes gunning up the outside, engine screaming, misses me by about a centimetre hwen skidding to a halt for the traffic lights I'm waiting at.

His windows were down and his music was louder than heavy metal night at Glastonbury. I couldn't resist it, "F**k me I thought it was Lewis Hamilton there for a minute" I shouted in through the window.

He leaned over and turning the radio down replied "Wot yiw sayinn?"

"F**k me I thought it was Lewis Hamilton there for a minute" I repeated.

"Lewis Hamilton's black" came the reply.

"He can drive a car too" I responded, "so that's two ways you're different."

Now telling a teenager in a modded VW that he can't drive is like telling him his pe**s is tiny, so at this point, considering his options, things could have gone a number of ways. Violence (I was bigger than him) using his vehicle as a weapon (I was alongside him so he couldn't drive it at me). Knives? Shotgun under the dash? A line of cars had gradually formed in the queue behind him so there were witnesses aplenty.

He simply had to take his medicine. The lights turned green and the way this little f***wit drove off...? well I hope he hasn't got a girlfriend or a dog cos something's gonna get a beatin' when he gets home. :D

[quote]Knives? Shotgun under the dash?

Very possible in Croydon.

I take it the alloys and Stereo were both worth considerably more than the actual car  .

Riding back from the CR to home yesterday three young lads started yelling something at me so I told one leaning out the passenger side window that

"You should try getting some excersize fat #@&$£!!" (he was quite large)

This had the obvious effect and for the next half mile or so they hurled abuse, coins and finally tried to spit at me.

Funnily enough though, once I got off my bike and asked one of them if he'd like to get out the car so I could kick the Sh1t out of him they weren't so keen and wheel spun away also pretending to Lewis Hamilton telling me that "I was lucky".

I am still having trouble making out in what way this was lucky. The episode almost ruined a nice ride and this is now the second time in to weeks there has been an incident of sorts along this same road.

I do find though that most people are very willing to abuse etc whilst they are in the 2 ton weapons and once you ask them to get out they never appear so keen. I say this now but their will come the day that big bloke gets out and batters me, or worse, a scally shoots me through the passenger window

Normally I do take most things like that with a pinch of salt. You have to if your going to commue through london!

However on occasion I do take the odd exception - I can't even remember what he said - maybe my hip was hurting at the time or I was just annoyed at being dropped by the quick group on the way home .
