BBC sports thingie...

Apparently we (well anyone who can be ar5ed) can only vote during the show. Considering Lord Hemming's comment earlier about splitting the cycling vote to let a car driver sneak through, how do we feel about backing one (iron) horse on the night? Or am I just a saddo...

I've been considering this for a while. His Hoy-ness would not be my first choice ( not being Her Cooke-ness and all) but I reckon my votes wasted otherwise, so I'm gonna vote for Chris.

Of all the cyclists, Nicole Cooke must surely be the most deserving? Her achievements as a road-racer are peerless. :D She is fantastic and I don't believe she gets anything like the recongnition she deserves in the UK. Shame the cycling medal count is so disprorportionate biased towards all those noncy track events.

Having said that, if I vote (which I probably won't!) I'll probably vote for Joe Calzaghe. As a sporting icon, he has pretty much everything - especically putting stuff back in to his local community (well appearing to anyway!). :D

Hopefully, Ohurugu will forget when its happening and fail to turn up.

Whilst Nicole is (probably) the most deserving of all, she is not in the media spotlight, and even on a recent Question of Sport, they struggled to get her name.....whereas Hoy is big time (for a cyclist).

Not forgetting Wiggins, Romero and our Vics 8)

If the cycling vote gets split, we'll end up with 2 fantastic runners up.

That's my reason for voting HOY HOY HOY
