I saw you in your ACC gillet

Postby Michelle » Tue Dec 23, 2008 9:32 pm

Spotted today at the top of the Reigate steps, heading into Reigate, in an ACC gillet and a very bright front light. About 4pm tonight.

I don't know who you are, but you were giving it some up that hill.

No I was driving in my teeny tiny black car. I got home and did an hour and a half on the turbo, it's too dark for me out there.

It was 1 hour of sprints, then 3 hours of lbp.

Went from Oxted to the lanes near me for the sprints. Then took the back route to Redhill (up Tilburstow Hill - going a bit faster up there these days thank God) then along the A25 for a bit, into the back of Redhill via Philanthropic Road, into south Reigate near the Angel, and then on the back roads towards Horly. Followed the reverse CR till our normal turnoff then Horne, Blindley Heath, Hurst Green.

Don't know how many miles it was, I've stopped looking at that and my ave speed these days. I was very pleased to finish though, I can tell you.

Don't know how you can do all that training in the dark. I go out from work at lunchtime. I work in Reigate so I can be at Flanchford Road in 5 mins. Nice :D

My last before Christmas was an entirely enjoyable midwinter run on Tues 23 Dec, down through Godstone, to Turners Hill, Crawley outskirts, then up through lanes to Outwood, Bletchingly, Godstone. Bonus of little lanes traffic, so winter ain't always that bad. Happy Christmas and New Year everyone.
