Campag and Sram Q?

Can I use one of these Campag casettes? http://www.jejamescycles.co.uk/id20488.html

with one of these sram mtb chains? http://www.jejamescycles.co.uk/id30375.html

or will it cause problems? Changing an old mtb into a training bike if thats chnages anything?

Don't think so Stu. Campag with Campag (or you can get KMC chains for Campag - only Shimano and SRAM interchangable I believe). You'd want a Campag 9 speed chain like [url=http://www.jejamescycles.co.uk/id19974.html]this[/url] but if you have a missing/power link for a 9 speed chain then you should still be able to use that with it, if that was part of the attraction to the SRAM chain.

I've used SRAM and Shimano chains with Campag cassettes. As long as you match 9-speed with 9-speed it shouldn't be a problem.

I bow to your experience Mike just going from what I'd been told.

For what it's worth Stu I use KMC chains after recommendation by both Campagnolo and Shimano users, lasting longer being one of the things mentioned. They run as smoothly as a matching chain and have certainly lasted well so far, more miles on them and still fine.

More a case of I have a bundle I got cheap so thats what I will be using for the next year :wink:
