Tuesday 30 Dec Ride

Postby Marek » Mon Dec 29, 2003 7:56 pm

If anyone fancies it Luke, Ian and myself are meeting up at CSS tomorrow morning at 9.30am, whatever the weather.

If raining probably just do Charlwood run, if rain holds off may go to Westerham or go Dorking way and do a few hills.

Cheers

Rain held off and we had an excellent run down to Forest Row. Another new cafe for the list in the heart of Forest Row is a small Cafe run by a very nice little old lady. Excellent fruit cake and coffee, also they have a sweets and chocolate section (and I don't mean Mars bars) and have a wide range of other delights. Ian had a piece of treacle tart which looked superb.

Came back through a maze of back roads which kept us away from the traffic of the A22.

We were probably going too fast for this time of year, I think we averaged around 30kmph for the 85 to 90km we covered.

Cheers

Saw Luke at Butler's, ogling a new bike. You need to slow down on those hills.
Are you heading out tomorrow at all? If so; when - where?

I am not out today, preparing for tonights celebrations. Will be going out with Inga tomorrow for a slow one, then will be back out for a longish one on Friday if you are up for it. Will start a thread about where to meet and all for Friday.

Cheers
