Dress Code for Dinner

Y'all

Seen/heard a few questions on this thorny subject.

On the ticket it says dress to impress - no jeans please. Interpret that how you wish, you snazzy lot. This is our one big night out as a club to celebrate the whole darn year.

For people who haven't been before....last year a lot of folk chose to wear black tie. Methinks the same may happen again :) It is optional.

We're a friendly bunch (cept when we're disagreeing about pretty much everything on here) and so wear what makes you feel comfortable. Unless your definition of comfort is sitting in a bath of blancmange, in which case, don't do that.

Looking forward to seeing everyone scrubbed up nice

well as I don't own black tie gear and don't have time prior to the big event to get one, I guess I'll wear a smart suit, it did for a Hindu wedding and company christmas dinner in the posh The Goring Hotel.

I've got a lovely tux made from Italian silk that I don't wear since I had my kilt made. I'd lend it you but your sylph like frame would fit comfortably into one leg. Spose you could share it with someone
