Don't remember the last thing that did it but after Snoop's comment about train chuckles the worst I had was when I was reading Tim Moore's "French Revolutions" - quite early on the bit about his phone call where he discovered all about savlon (get a big jar) .

Christopher Brookmyre's had me chuckling like a loon in public too.
