If you can stand the continuous adverts, it's well worth watching Cav's 2nd win. Super strong.

They have some "interesting" adverts in the US. I was watching the Tour on a live OLN feed a couple of years ago and about every 10 minutes was an advert for the State Gun & Weapons Fair  . It was huge with a boasted "unprecedented range of guns for you to come and try" , some of them looked like they'd cut a hippo in half in the blink of an eye  . It was advertised as a great day out for the whole family  with another boast that as the kids wouldn't be allowed to test the guns there was going to be an area devoted to knives for their enjoyment  .

I just sat there with my jaw on the floor.

Cav seems to be in good early form although he cut it a bit fine the other day on his first stage win, Pez do a good photo/caption story here.

Cav and Columbia HighRoad unstoppable yesterday, an awesome show of strength. In the post race press conference he admitted to mistaking his own shadow for that of Tom Boonen, he's so fast even his own shadow couldn't keep up with him.

How do you feel about that, Steve!!!?

Yep a good win yesterday and a great stage to watch, the last mile or so was class with the Cervelo boys one one side of the road and the Highroad train on the other.

I've watched it all on Eurosport, barely any advertisments at all.

Watching the TT yesterday it's amazing that Armstrong is twice the size he was and looks about 50! Regardless of my opinion of him it looks a bit tragic, and despite the good bits like Cav it's also somewhat disheartening seeing the likes of Hamilton, Landis, Basso et al dragging the sport down just by being there.

in my the real tragedy is that if cavendish wins even the same amount as he did last year, i have to look at that columbia kit plastered over the papers and magazins and on tv.

dont forget david millar as well mr green.
dont forget david millar as well mr green.

True Mo, and he has become a really nauseating so-and-so since his "seeing the light". The positive (pun intended) with him is that he admitted to taking drugs and served his ban. Landis, Hamilton etc were caught red handed and found guilty and still protest innocence all the time. It's the blatant lying and hard done by act that grates most.

yeah i see what you mean andrew. mind rock racing's kit is a lot better than the "clean" teams. i mean columbias and slipstream. what the hell. saxo bank are the only exception. tbh the clean teams are losing the best kit contest, and thats obviously what matters.

but i am waiting for mr contador and mr armstrong to take to the ring, which will be futile cos andy schleck will win the giro, the dauphine, the tour, the vuelta and the worlds while playing psp and peddling backwards.
Wasdn't Mr M actually not caught at all?

The French Police had the evidence (notably syringes he'd used and kept at the back of a bookshelf as a souvenir) and arrested him, he confessed during the interviews. Maybe not a failed test and caught that way but they obviously had more than enough evidence so he jumped before he was pushed and started playing the martyr card.
