I have probably missed the thread, but is anyone going along to Herne Hill tomorrow to watch the action?

Will be there as usual to catch the action from qualifying hopefully. Weather looks okish (well better than it did 24hrs ago!). As wife (heavily with child) has offered to drive, I shall be endevouring to have a few beers as well (we usually take a picnic, beers and wine but are feeling lazy this year).

I'm always suprised we don't take some 'recruiting' literature along etc. Anyhow what's the politesse on wearing club colours if not actually competing (well I'd give it a go but something tells me they'd have to start me a yard from the finish line to stand much chance in the handicap race and the bookies would close the book on who's first out of Devil Takes The Hindmost).

Hope a few others make the effort what with all the bulls*#t that Dulwich Estates and others are hiding behind to prevent the site being secured for your future Vicky Pendleton's etc we should try and make it a real good turnout.

How was it folks? I'm guessing there may have been a few interruptions

Me? Well la famille de Snoopington took the train & bus to South Ken and went to the V&A. Visited the World Fair section, the ironwork section, enjoyed some biscuit tin frippery, went to the fashion dept. Then hooked up with a couple of mates and went to a tip top titfer exhibition. Had to pay a fiver a head (wa wa waaaaa) for that but well worth it.

Then, quick whizz on da tube to Piccadilly, where we hunted down Yoshino. It's on Piccadilly Lane. Blimmin wonderful. Amongst other things we had:

Tuna, Salmon, mackerel nigiri (the mackerel was just spot on)

Avocado rolls, eel and cucumber rolls and prawn tempura rolls, all at the top of their game. Mah Mahi tempura (woohoo), sweet potato tempura, mmmm. Edamame, miso soup. Tuna carpaccio (oh boy), spinach with sesame dressing (droool). Kirin Ichiban beer x 2.

One of the best sushi feasts I've ever had, under £20 per head for central London. Does it ev'ry time.
