sitting around, causing mess..thought they were a good idea when buying them, but im not a triathlete, and im never going to use them again...not to mention my new shaped bars wont accomodate them...

used only 3 times...look and are perfect minus lovely box packaging



profile AQUARACK bought for £20 used once, still £20 and once again perfect condition minus a box!

Did you get some Cinneli RAMS on your new bike Rob?

If you need the T-bar for a computer, Condor has them in stock.
When I bought mine Buttlers didn't have them and said it'd take a few weeks to get one in!

It's good to see you're spinning those big legs of yours and not grinding horribly large gears like you use to.

The two most important training aids are a heart rate monitor and a computer with cadence on it. I'm not sure you use either, so maybe you should think about getting them if you want to reach your full potential.

tashkent, you're like my angel just watching over me!!! i like it.. :lol:


in going to get the shimano comp, thatll tell me cadence, and when i can afford a cheap one, a heart monitor..but yeah the new bike will have cadence...what does that tell me exactly?



oh, and i have a new job, im frankie and bennys barman, and i told them when i wanna work and they agreed..so i can cycle 4 times minimum a week in the rubbish weather, and have a constant flow of cash to afford next season!

nice!

you venturing out with sigma or john ibbos lot tomorrow?

oh, an no cinelli rams..i wanted them, but this new bikes costing the earth already, so i thought id be sensible...ive gone for ITM millenium wing shape bars......same shape as cinelli rams, slightly heavier(not much) and urm £40 apposed to £300.....(add another£40 for stem, still alot cheaper!)

Cadence will tell you how fast you're peddling (RPM),
Optimum RPM for training is between 90-110. This combined with a Heart Rate Monitor (HRM) can insure you're not wasting valuable training time by staying in your HR zones.

For example, today I did 4 hours in zones 1 and 2 (141 to 162 BPM).
For 30min I kept my RPM between 100 - 115 and because the terrain was 'rolling' I had to change gears more regularly. The next 30 min was resistance work meaning I kept RPM between 60-80 and I stayed seated.
The third 30min was high RPM again and so on.......

This session was a 'base miles' session, working on building leg strength combined with smooth pedalling to give me endurance. There are many different sessions designed for different things. The closer it gets to race season the more concentrated (volume reduced, intensity increased) the program becomes, emphasising on my top end speed.

You should really consider getting a coach as I think you are training quite sporadically at the moment and may not be benefiting from all this extra time on the bike.

About the guardian angel thing; I recognise a good rider when I see one and you're definitely that. The advice i'm giving you will hopefully benefit you in the forth coming road season.
Just because i'm helping you out doesn't mean I'll be letting you by in the next sprint...... As a matter of fact, I may just drop the shoulder and give you a slight nudge just to see how your bike handling skills are getting on.

Racing Perfs tomorrow, so no Feathers @ 9.30 for me..... see you out and about soon tho.
