CR 2nd May 09

A bit of a change of direction for the Training Group in today's sunshine.

Many of the usual suspects were away today so plenty of fresh faces. At George's instigation we added a lap of the Henfold race circuit to the normal route. Always good to add some variety.

The Charwood Trophy was reclaimed by The Shadow, making a long awaited guest appearance in the TG. Well done Steve.

I even had company on my ride home in the form of Andy E, off into Kent to meet up with his other half.

19s managed 20.3 average to the cafe, ably led in the T&O by Adam and a very fast bloke on a colnago whose name I don't know.
Return via Box Hill saw me dropped by both tranches of the group but glad to say I then caught and dropped some Dynamos on the Hill.

It must of been a good day for it.

17's group I was in done a spot on 18 (from CSS to Charlwood). Had a very smooth ride and spent a lot of time up the front.
Until I got boxed in and the bottom lip came out for not being able to sprint
Well done CaroleH and Jonathan.......

Sorry you got dropped Tamar (and possibly others), if that was my doing I do apologise for steaming off.
Buy the time I knew you were gone it was too late to slow down and there would of been other groups to join you.
Hope you made it ok as I didn't see you in the cafe.

Charlwood to home was fun.
A small group of about 5 left for Box Hill, but Rob and I decided to go straight past the Zig-Zags and add a few more hills and a pub, very good ride indeed, could feel that one in my legs for the next 2 days to come.

Marky Mark getting fitter.. :D :D :D :D
