Is it safe to ride along the A24...?

from nr Boxhill down to near Rustington on the coast. I have to meet a client on Saturday morning and I'm not the best at remembering routes. But on the map it looks like quite a straightforward journey. However if the A24 turns in to a scary unsafe 'motorway' at some point perhaps its best to avoid it. Thanks

It forms part of the G25/53, here's your chance to get that elusive 25 TT under your belt feller

Generally speaking, its ok. Some of it is single carriageway anyway. Probably safer than most of the roads up round your neck of the woods anyway, if my experience last Saturday was anything to go by!!

It's fine down there. It's the bit between Balham and Tooting Broadway you need to worry about  .

I find that it's Ok and the DC is fine for TT's, but believe me it is a scary prospect riding on it at night - don't do it.

BTW when you get to Beare Green roundabout, take the minor road through Capel, nice and quiet and pops up the other end of the DC.
