Il est temps pour un nouveau cadre

Postby virek » Mon Jun 22, 2009 12:48 am

After finding out that my carbon monocoque frame is in less than good health (won't name it as I think it got hit in a plane and is nothing to do with sh1te quality), it seems that a new frame is in order.

Being that I live in the DOM that is Martinique and choice is rather limited and additionally the roads are nearly as good as South London's I'm looking at a small range of frames.

I'll be honest though, I've always wanted a Colnago, so which is it, Colnago, Willier or Pinarello?

I'd love to hear you opinions, which ones and why?

Cheers,

Matthew

well, my wife just bought me a copy of Bicycling magazine and thery were voting their best bikes of the year for.... Pinerallo got it for "serious" racing. Wilier also did good. I have an oldish pinerallo, the only thing I don't like about it is it's Italian threaded BB.

Yeah that caught me out on mine, other than that I think it's a great frame.

on the other hand... if you've always wanted a Colnago... then get a Colnago! :)

yea, it was a present from her week's trip to the US. She failed in her mission to get me a local cycling jersey so this was compensation. So she's going back in October to look again .
