. He showed me some new lanes I didn't know and I showed him a couple he didn't. A great route. For media moaners always going on about 'disappearing rural England', a trip round this route should be prescribed. And it was my 50th ride this year! After Andrew's horrors about the near motorway A11/A14 section in his aborted 12 hour, a target was to avoid virtually all busy roads. Had about a mile of A22 south of Godstone, that was it. There's a whole new thread of discussion about whether CTT should ban sections like that in the ECCA 12, but this isn't the place for it, still in a good mood about the ride.
