Beastway round 2 - 26/5/10

Another solid third place for Serge after another slow start. Only 20 seconds off second place despite his assertion at the start of the last lap that "The chase is over".

I reckon a faster start could see our man in the Experts competing for second place.

great course this week, alot more climbing. heart rate monitor was telling me that I was taking it relatively easy. The reality is that I am still fatigued from the Midlands Champs in Hereford on the Sunday (3rd place there aswell ). Anyway, no catching Billy Joe Whenman and no catcthing 2nd place Steve Hambling this week either, I got close at one point but then a few back markers in between us soon put pay to the chase (but hey thats racing and i had done the same to him the week before ).

Round 3 of the BMBS this Satuday at margham park, Hopefully a good result and then a well earned rest for a few days. Check out the expert Catergory rankings on the Britsh cycling website, you might notice a certain club gets a mention near the top .

No beastway for me next week, but I will post up when I am going next, its a great series and I am sure I can offer a lift.
