...and a bit of Hertfordshire, for the Bishops Stortford hilly 28 TT this morning.
A mixture of B roads, lanes, and one section of single-track road with gravel and grass down the middle. As well as being hilly (one little ring climb and lots of big ring out of the saddle stuff), it's probably the most technical course of ever ridden, with lots of potential for ending up in a ditch or hedge if you misjudge one of the many corners. I had to scrub off a lot of speed in a hurry at one point, locked the rear wheel up and had a somewhat sideways moment, just avoiding stacking it. Took it a bit steadier after that.
1:15:53 got me 23rd place, about halfway down the field.
