Hog Hill 3/4 - 12/5

No ACC in it but it's quite funny :D - tactic for next race there? from LCS

[quote]Like a thief in the night Scott Cousins went away and no one seemed to notice. He was to win with a good advantage, but maybe it was bridgeable if the bunch had known?

It was an excellent win for Maldon man.

[quote]The bunch we assume thinking they were going for the win saw National Junior Cross Champion 'win' the mass gallop to the flag.

Sylv, what you need is some new dark ACC kit ;-)

Sylv - what do you mean tactic for the next race?

You guys have already pulled it off nicely - step forward George & Paul at Dunsfold. :D Step backwards quietly in embarrassment the 3 KW riders who lead in the bunch arms aloft

That made me smile when I saw those pics.

It did remind me of that. Though by the sound of the(ir) reports the KW were only showing their joy at locking the rest of the podium. This one looks like a proper  moment.

I wasn't there that day, but overheard it from home.

 brilliant.

If that ever happens to me I shall simply turn my outstretched arms into a yawn complete with mouth agog to hide my stupidity.......not that I'll be seeing the sharp end of a race anytime soon.

Hmmm, actually I have been there and done that myself. A long time ago when I was a 4th cat, and when 4ths were allowed to race on the road in the local league, I had not noticed Guy Powdrill time trial off the front of the peleton. So when I powered up the final climb to take the sprint I thought I had won and gave it large. A couple of guys quickly came over and explained and I went and hid.
