Bit of a test to see if the legs had recovered from the Tour of Wessex shenanigans.

A mid-week evening open event out near Herne Bay on the Q10/30 course. Last year's attempt was a disaster as I punctured on the way to the start, so plenty of room for improvement. Seemed like a reasonable evening; warmish, calmish. Had a good warmup as the HQ was over 4 miles from the start, so left plenty of time to ride there and then around the lanes nearby.

Finished in 23:38 which was about what I was expecting. Winner (Pete Tadros I think) was a few seconds outside of 20 minutes.

Well done Jon,quite a shlep for a 10 though?
Was thinking of trying the Fowlmead (Q10/42) course down that way on the 26th June but put off by the driving all that way on a sat alvo...
