Norwood Paragon 25

I was the only Agreeable on the start line for this one.

I was off at 7.47am and it was still chilly (could see my breath at the start line). Much better than last Sunday though, which was commented on by the starter. Heaven knows how cold it must have been for the first off. It's been 2 years since I rode our 'local' course. You forget how all the little inclines sap your speed as well as how hard the long ones are.

Couldn't quite work out where the wind was coming from but I think from Southwater towards the Great Daux rdt. Think I started off too fast because by the time I got to the aforementioned roundabout I was struggling. Only managed a smidge under 25 mins for the last 10 miles. Eventually finished with a 1.02.16. I think Steve Dennis won with a 53.01. Seemed to be a few 57s including Lee Turner. I thought he would have gone faster in the conditions.

Paragon used Horsam Cricket Club for their HQ. Great place, proper changing rooms, proper showers and more toilets.

Yes welcome back to the tester fraternity. I was bloody cold too, we should both have gone to Bentley with the others.

Good to see Steve's back to fitness after his knackered wrist.
