Did the west London CA 50 today on a changed course, it should have been up near Reading, but due to confounded roadworks was moved to the other side of Abingdon
. I think thats why the field was only just over 40 riders. Headed off down the A420, legs really didn`t want to know, until I got to the turn for the first time to find I was coasting a long a lot better - a head wind! which although I knew there was one, it wasn`t strong enough that it takes your breathe away, so I hadn`t really acknowledged it and had just put it down to my legs not wanting to work!! Avg speed picked up considerably on the way back and hoping I wouldn`t lose too much on the next leg in to the wind. That I achieved and pushed hard for home, to come in with a course pb by 10 seconds
and my best 50 this year 2:10:20.
I`m really not having a good year on the 50s front this year
