Another trip to the super fast Neath Valley course (R25/3L) for Sunday's 25 with a very civilised start time of 12:28. Unfortunately while the South East basked in summer warmth it was cloudy, dull, cool and very windy in this part of South Wales. After a fast start including the downhill section it was a 10 mile slog into the wind and whilst the return was fast I never felt I got on top of things and ended up with a disappointing (for this course) 58:27 which put me well into the back end of the field. In the conditions the winner could 'only' manage a 48:50. On the plus side I think I did go faster than most of the overflow riders.
