a big field and my position wasn't great on last lap (due to bunch crashes and RichV warning me that my mudguard was coming loose and waving around like a flag) so had to sprint early on to get near front and others around me weren't so had to jump a few gaps to get near the front - no lead out train for me :( . I had forgotten how much 'fun' racing was and am glad I went. Still can't face the turbo

Well done Kieran [quote]Still can't face the turbo
I agree its tough on the turbo. What did you think of how Wittgenstein's broke down a 2 x 20? I thought it was quite inspiring.

hi Toks, I thought you meant he broke down sobbing etc during one of them! The mind trick sounds familiar but it's like going out in the rain you build it up to be really unpleasant and then when you do start its not as bad as all that - I just have to get over that.

According to Andy Coggan from Cycling Peaks the first 20 min interval should be doable and the 2nd interval in the last 10mins is when it should really hurt and needs lots of concentration.

If your struggling in the first interval your going way to hard.
