As the only ACC rider on this one I was sure to finish top of the ACC posse (yeah right)

I learned some valuable lessons this weekend

1 - don't do interval training the day before the race (well not if you're in my kind o shape). For sure it'll leave yer with sore legs the following day.

2 - when trying out a new method of getting to the course, allow plenty of time. I stayed at a friends house in Bolney Sat night and decided to ride in to the race get a proper warm up. Meant some uncharted territory for me - including Sponketts Lane. Anyway - I got lost and missed my start by 5 minutes

3 - don't get a puncture. About 5 miles into the race, psssssss. Seeing as how I'd missed the start I was pretty philosophical about this.

So - my first late start and my first dnf in one go. Shame as the conditions weren't bad (no rain and the wind wasn't too unbearable) when I set off and I felt good after a proper warm up.

Hey ho, bring on the SCCU 10 next weekend.

At least you got up and got there Snoop. I'll see you at the SCCU 10, hopefully we'll have a good turn-out.

Cap'n
You should have come on my Brighton ride last week, then you would have known Sponketts Lane.

Note that you punctured - did you heed my teachings to check for flints etc the night before :?:

Never do interval training full stop, then it won't intefere with racing.

Good turnout on Sat - 9 Agreeables on the start sheet
