How did you get on?

I was a DNS. It was a light shower when I left, no problem, but got darker and started raining so hard that I ended up missing the turning off the M23 as there was so much spray.

Thought it would be an exercise in futility to race so turned back.

Typical, the sun's out now.

Got there, pumped up the tires, went in to collect number and the heavens opened.
Bike back in the car and home for three hours more sleep.
It was coming down in stair rods as I drove home.

bad luck folks - I read a report on this one there were about 50 dns. Must've improved at some point as there were some good times posted. Maybe some wag fitted skis instead of wheels?

I managed 23.30, not much full at number two, rolled off start line and the heavens opened, but fortunately not for long. Very ginger about the turn, otherwise I would have caught my minute man. Managed to make top 20!!

Rode Eastbourne 25 on the Sunday over at Maresfield repeat of whether conditions, fortunately it didn`t improve for the later riders. Its the first time I have ridden this course as a 25 in over 3 years when I did back then managed 1:01:??. I did a course pb of 1:00:31, what would I have done had it been dry? 18th place out 100 riders.
