There will not be many Hill Climbs held on closed roads. Most clubs could not afford the cost of it even if it was possible.. The Catford climb is far narrower than Hollingnbourne Hill and is open to traffic.

There was not so much traffic on the course yesterday and as has been said it is a two way road and plenty of room to overtake. It is unfortunate that just a few miles on from the summit a steam rally was taking place. That just might have attracted a few more vehicles than usual. But there was no problem.

Very good ride from Sylvain. Maybe he can persuade a few more of you to take the plunge next year. It is hoped to have a Dixieland Jazz Band playing for a couple of hours to celebrate the events 35th year. It also happens to be the 35th year I will have been at the helm.
