I want to get 1st next week and I want to attempt attacking. When and where would be the best time/place? You can use the map numbers.

Please PM me if you have any suggestions as I don't want people finding out!!!

To be honest this is like asking how long is a piece of string. It all depends on who is there, how you feel etc. It has pretty much zero to do with the course. By the sounds of things you are kicking butt on the corners so maybe think about being brave and if you get away from the group on the corners why not put your head down and have a go at staying away for the rest of the race. The worst that can happen is that you get caught up and spat out the back, but is awesome training to try and go it alone. See how the race pans out, if you are gaining good ground after the corners then go early and put your head down and see how long you can last, worth a go and if you fail will have been good training, be brave.

What that saying 'there are many different ways to skin a cat'. I haven't raced for a few years Matt but I've seen races won in the following ways
1. Rider attacks continually on the hardest part of circuit (the climb) and gets away in small group. Wins sprint
2. Riders fool bunch into thinking he's not attacking but rides a few feet in front of bunch lap after lap. Then slips away when bunch fall asleep
3. Group of rider (including race winner) attack after previous attack is reeled in
4. Rider wins bunch sprint
5. Rider organises from attack from the gun with another rider - they stay away and win race
6. Rider launches attack on the penultimate laps stays away to win
7. Rider attacks team mate block at the front of bunch. Bunch fall asleep and rider win
8. Similar to 3. Rider keeps throwing fake attacks. Bunch think he's an idiot and leave him to it. Riders slips away goes on to win the race
There load of others too. Good luck :-0
