Hi Stuart,

Have just got back from warm and windy Poland and I did check out the posts while I was away but could not post onto the ACC forum as did not have an email address.

Glad to see all the hard work in the weeks building up to the race paid off, I see you managed to get your helmet or did the bin man nick it?

Cheers

Marek....

welcome back marek.

yeh i got the helmet, and the reason my saddle didnt fit was because there was a bit of cardboard on it  , so no need for the spare post.

Oh and good report Stu.

Glad to see I escaped the finish cameras again ... think I'll keep it quiet this time

That Leda Cox is a fast lass!

Well done Stu a fab first race ride outing.

The fast training groups have really been helping you.

After a few more races it gets easier to understand whats happening around you in the races.

If someone shouts at you ignore them and show them, there probably just knackered and anxious.

yeh, i think all the sprint finishes in the training group help a lot. their pretty similar to the race. also the training group is a lot harder in general, so the race speeds seamed pretty relaxed.

Careful Stu - you'll get a nickname like "The Gentleman sprinter" and it'll stick for life :-)

Great result

If you want to make your sprint more aggressive try fing some vids of Djamolodin Abdujaparov or Tom Steels. :D
You won't win many friends though.

Just to give you an idea of what we expect of you next week at Hillingdon in the sprint, have a look at how Apdoujaparov sprints:

Might be an idea to practice a few times on a quiet bit of road beforehand.
