[quote="Sean"]Ah, how little you know me Adam. I am a watcher of races
I'm still working on a plan to trick the Rapha boy in to trying out a race Adam. I may need your help though. I think Sean's got a case of that Ian Munnery IdlovetabutIcan't Syndrone. They're very tricky customers it may take quite a few behavioural therapy sessions before we can even mention his name and the word 'race' in the same sentence. He (Sean) we'll probably bring up the 'old baby on the way number' so he's gonna be a tough cookie to crack. :(

I think we need a plan to get Sean into racing mode.

Step 1. Convince Sean that he could manage a ride in the 19mph group.

Step 2. Point out the entirely logical argument that if one can do a 19mph group ride, then one could easily manage to stay with the bunch in a 4th cat Hillingdon race.

Step 3. Apply immense group peer pressure on him to attempt a race at Hillingdon so that in the end he has no choice but to comply . :D

Step 4. If all else fails, bring Mr Motivator back (Ajay) and Let him do his work on Sean.

[quote]Actually the plan to peak for the Nove Colli seems to be on schedule. Just spoke to Eurostar and they're cool about bike bags etc if they're properly packed etc....

Did you see the way he cunningly changed the subject there?
This is going to be hard work, I fear.
We might need to bring in the big guns on this one.
Ajay?

Thanks for checking Eurostar about bike bags caped crusader, watch out your cape doesn't get caught in your spokes!

Now back on subject, you rode at least a couple of CRs in the 19s towards the end of last Summer/Autumn.

All those miles in Italy will be a good base for racing when you get back Sean.

I know you like taking pictures sean, but having your nose replaced with a camera is a bit extreme isnt it!?

[quote]How's that cracked frame?
Half wondering whether it might still be under guarantee I took it back to where I bought it back in 2003. Yippee they confirmed it was! so they gave me £400 towards an upgraded carbon/alu job thing. I just had to cough up a measly £300 quid towards it so I'll pick it up next Tuesday. It was a pleasant suprise coz the ex girlfriend made off with all sorts of admin work so I did'nt have the guarantee/receipt and had no idea if they'd remember me. Having such a charming and dynamic personality has its advantages you know  Anyone for a sunday morning spinning class?

Congratulations Apples - the buzz of your first race - heart thumping - adrenaline going - numbers pinned - urban sunset - in the bunch - coasting - flying - cornering - elbows out - and then the ride back - when your body is cooking and the addiscombe is in full flying formation - 50 -100km after work - and then back for dinner just like normal ! Its a great way to spend a Tuesday night.

Ah - you know I'm just going to have to come back to Hillingdon for one last dig this year. Its time to drop the lead out man tag and go for it. I've now got a elite licence in nappy changing and I am working on getting the DS to let me join the 2007 Hillingdon squad.
