thats pretty amazing Sylv, i remember Barrie Clarke did it in 7h35 when it was the 131km route.

Am considering doing the South Downs Way double next year, but would love to do the cristalp. My mate Dave of http://www.twinklydave.com did the Transalp which looks excellent fun too but you have to do it in a pair. He has come top 5 in a lot of 24hr races, but got beaten on the Transalp by that guy with one leg!!

Hello, yes I did see Barrie's time a short while back when I was checking out UK riders' results. 7h35 in 2004 and just under 7h31 in 2003 - that was the year he got silver at the National Champs : ). The course should be the same btw it's just they re-measured it more accurately.
