Well done to Paul hone for getting a bronze in his AG
The weather was cold and raining up at Clumber park as we set off on the 1st 10k run which was enough to soak us for a cold 40k bike ride
I had a dreadful race,my 1st run went really well (34.54),feeling strong and confident of a good race running alongside James Cracknell who is no slouch for a big fella, but then after 20k on the bike lost lots of power in my legs and bonked big time, getting cramps in my thigh and calfs. Only managed a 1.04 on the bike then onto the final 5k run i crawled around in 21. something
Been training hard all winter for this and it all went completely wrong!
Only managed 15th in my AG(40-44),having achieved 3rd at the nat champs last year its a bit d
And to top it off i have woken up today with a cough and cold
