This was meant to have been a 50, on the E2/50c course (A11 & A14), but discovery of roadworks on part of the course last week meant a bit of quick thinking for the organiser who decided to run a 25 instead on the E2/25 course.
After witnessing the almost perfectly still conditions for the SCCU 10 in the morning I was looking forward to a nice fast ride. However the weather gods had other ideas and by mid afternoon there was a fair old wind blowing up from the south. So, it was going to be a grind going out and flying back. And that's exactly what happened. Split times were around 34 minutes going out and 27 back, to finish in 1:00:42. Bugger, outside the hour again.
