Addiscombe Club 10 Results - 16th July 2013

The fun Jack and Jill evening, how much fun?, ask Robyn who was buzzing like a kid on Red Bull afterwards :D .

A great evening weatherwise and very good performances by the Jack and Jill pairings, all Jacks stepping up manfully and towing their Jill around faster than their solos of this year by over a minute in all cases (I think without checking).

Congratulations to Team Oz on taking the Jack and Jill honours this year. I think these 2up J&J events are great fun and it would be good to see a good field of pairings next year. The best way I can think to make this happen is for last nights Jills to spread the word amongst your club sisters about how much you enjoyed it...if you didn't keep schtum  .

My first Jack and Jill and it really was great fun, much harder than I expected especially as Lesley turned from mild mannered lady into a screaming demon as she shouted "faster, faster" when I was already well into the red, pushing as hard as I could Into a headwind, uphill!

I would recommend everyone to give this a go, although slightly confused by the positioning (2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 10th)? A massive thank-you to all for the terrific organisation and helpers, as always.

Oops, the positions are 1st, 2nd etc. They are still from the original sort I did which included the solos before I split them. Should make more sense now.

I thought it was the cycling equivalent of the Duckworth-Lewis scoring method!
