On the semi-SPOCO G25/93 this morning. I've only done this course once before and it's a nice one, the first 13 miles are sporting on a loop that takes you through Partridge Green before an out and back on SC. Not a fast course but a good one and I wish there were more events on it.

2nd proper race still trying to pull the fitness back, and it was better than the last. Small steps but in the right direction. Last time on here was a 1:03 and did a 1:05:09 today. I think I actually lost most of the time today after drifting off for about a mile in the middle which was silly.

A nice event on a nice morning, chilly at the start but okay when racing with arm warmers and a bit of oil on my pins. Had a good little chat with Steve Kane at the start who was off 3 minutes behind me. He's a really nice young chap and super fast, lots of wins last year and I fully expect more of the same this year. He passed me like a silent train, so fast and smooth and the rise just after didn't seem to have any effect on his speed. He won today with a long 53, Hutch was a DNS, I'll.
