Reasonable day, course/conditions not as fast as last week but I was in a far better condition having got to the event on time and being able to eat, drink and warm-up as planned.

Aiming to ride to a 4 hour schedule. Got my pacing pretty accurate going through 50 miles in 1.58/59 and was 1 or 2 minutes up with 10 miles to go. Unfortunately the last 10 miles of the course is rolling singlecarriageway so not too fast and today seemed to be directly into the wind so lost out. Finished in 4.01.17 so a new pb.

Well done Richard, another impressive ride.
Also congrats to the lads in the 50-fantastic.

Just had a glimpse of the Bec 10 start sheet for Sat. Seems Hutch is starting 3min behind me. I would like to think that I could get to Clarkes Green before he catches me, but the consensus in our house it will be well before then, probably Beare Green.

Let you know next week.

Fantastic Rich! Just out of interest, what sort of time do you think you would've got for a 100mile TT a couple of years ago?

I did one hundred two seasons ago and did a 4.42 if my memory is correct.
