Evening 10 26/6

Not quite the success of Palace but I got a PB :D . 26m19s I think it was the thought of Ian being behind me that did it.

I saw him at the turn and knew he'd never let me forget it if he caught me so hammered as hard as I could. Even managed to chuck it in 53/11 on a couple of occaisions and stamp on the pedals doing my best George impression.

Guessed I'd done a decent time as I was coughing like a goodun for a minute at the finish, and even beat my main partner in pedantry by a few seconds. :D

A good night all round and a few PBs. Carole and newer John C by a minute so I think your down a few gold coins Snoop.

Thanks to Jon, Joyce, and Tim as always for their sterling work. John for giving me good shove at the start which clearly had a benefit.

[quote]Andrew, Can you go under 26?

Should hope so as I've got a few coming up to try and knock it down.
25.30 is the target this year, under 25 in a dream world but would probably need a faster course than Holmwood. Got a few marked in on the 57 course though so fingers crossed for some nice weather.

Yeah Thanks Jon, Joyce and Tim! No where near my PB but perhaps I should try riding a TT more than one a year :?

Well not quite, my slowest 10 for 3 years  (I don't count the President's 10 I did on the museum-piece). A sack of dubloons for Carole, and I fear that Cap'n Snoop will have me walking the plank.

Very pleasant ride back over Box Hill with Sean though 8) .

I was about 9 seconds off a PB, i knocked the computer just before the start- and did not notice until i moved out of the slip road, how many seconds have i been riding5- 10?
I had Andrew in sight all the way ( its quite straight  ) but i never got any closer.
I was pedalled out on the hills tho, so i must change my cassette- i just could not be bothered last night.
Its too late to start thinking about a TT career this year, p'raps next tho- cor that means another bike 8) !
How do the regular TTers stave off the boredom of riding up and down the same old course knocking their plums off week in -week out? I do know that an hour of threshold ( not for a 10!) will tend to sharpen the mind and you do not think about anything else- but all that dual carraigeway.......
and don't suggest sporting courses either!

But dual carriageways are beautiful :D

I know the proper TTers will have some deep pearls of wisdom but I just try to concentrate on going as fast as possible
