Newbury RC 10 & 25

Just me from ACC riding the Newbury weekend double - 10 on Satruday afternoon and 25 on Sunday morning, both on the Aldermaston course on the A4. This is about the only Sunday morning event I ride these days and then only because of the user friendly 8:00 am start (I was off at 8:30 - even better)!

Saturday afternoon was warm and bright but a tad breezy. I decided to give it a bit of a bash into the wind on the way out and try and hang on on the way back. This seemed to work and I was even doing 30 mph most of the way back and ended up with a pleasing 22:41. Sunday morning was a lot cooler but with a similar breeze blowing. I don't think I'd fully recovered from the 10 and found myself going slower in both directions to end up with 1:00:33 - not too bad all the same.
