Horsham 10

Postby Dominic » Sat Jun 20, 2009 3:11 pm

It was myself Robert R-E, Mr PVT and RichV riding this today. Since it was reasonalby close, 17 miles, decided to ride out. It was spitting when I left but seemed fine when I got nearer the HQ. The wind seemed head on from the turn but seemed fine during the race.

Following the TT pacing trial last weekend made a concious effort to start really easy and dawdled up the first drag in about 53 X 19. After that it was on the 15 to the turn just keep the gear going and then I started my push from about 3.5 miles to go. By the time I was near the finish it was on the 13 going as hard as I could. When I crossed the line I looked at my watch and somehow figured out I had done a 23. That can't be right.

Got back to the HQ and had a chat with Robert R-E about the SCCU 50 and the lack of helpers. Checked my official time. 22.44 equalling my season's fastest on the Q10/19 in April :D

Had a chat with RichV and Joyce and then rode home through Rusper and the club run in reverse. Saw lots of people out on the clubrun so we should be alright to helpers next Sunday

Other Agreeables:

Robert R-E 23.23
Mr PVT 24.24
Rich V 25.12

Hey nice one :D . Did they use the same HQ as last year? If so then PVT could have got his rollers out on his drive to warm up  .
