Toks, are Revolving blades allowed on your wheels like in Spartacus chariot race as I think this is the only way to stop those pesky sprinters whizzing around me in the final straight???

Yes, please Michelle... Give me a run for my money...

With Steve out with his knee, there really isn't anyone else around to beat right now! (Training group excepted of course, although I did kick all their asses last time  ) And of course your dearly beloved gave me a good run for my money yesterday!

Anyway, bring it on...

Having said that, I'll be in Liverpool next weekend, then after that I'm pretty much racing for 3 weeks... so you've got time to train :P

Arf Arf very funny. Keith did say you just pipped him to the post!!!!! :D

You've had your chance now Adam, unless you fancy slumming it in the Cat 4 race at Hillingdon on Saturday. If the weather holds Keith and I plan to be up there to make the most of being in the UK on our last weekend before the extended skiing trip. The day after is hell of Ashdown.

God only knows what will happen to the fitness during while we are in France! You will have a chance to properly beat me when we get back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mmm seems a shame for you both to lose all that hard earned fitness. Even if you have access to a crappy gym bike 2/3 times a week; couple that with a HRM and 30-40mins and you'll be able to hang on to 80-90% of your fitness levels :D

You reckon

I really hope that happens, if it does it will be fantastic. Am very reluctant to lose it all. Perhaps later in the season we can hire some bikes down in the Valley and do the cycle up to Tignes..... :D

Defo! depending on how much time you can afford. It'll mean hitting threshold/TT Power and above efforts but it can be done :D

I don't think you will lose much fitness skiing or boarding (except if you do ski-bar every night). You will build up your leg muscles too so you might beat Adam in the sprint!

Given how long you are staying I'd also encourage trying a snow-related aerobic activity - cross-country, raquettes ...

Yup we have specced those two as well Sylv. Already have Keith set up for a go on a wierd snowboard that you can turn into snowshoes ( somehow, the owner of it didn't quite know how ) and I will get some skis with skins and we will set off with our guide for the wide blue yonder! It will be at altitudes of at least 2800m so should get quite a lot of benefit from that too.

Also the local gym looks good - and a great view! :D
